Re-Profiled
We offer a range of re-profiling for standard camshafts. We are agents for 'Kent Cams' and 'Piper Cams', and can supply their full range of re-profiling.
Billet
On some engine models, the standard camshaft will not have enough material, in the base circle of the cam lobe, to allow them to be re-ground into an alternative profile. If a higher lift is wanting to be achieved, it will be necessary to supply a complete replacement camshaft. We offer the full range of replacement billet 'Kent Cams' and replacement billet 'Piper Cams'.
In addition to this we can also supply genuine race camshafts, from all of the manufacturers.
Setup
After fitting slotted cam sprockets or machining standard sprockets, the working positions of the cam shafts need to be adjusted for optimum performance, to ensure you achieve at least the minimum piston to valve clearance.
To fit re-profiled or billet cam shafts requires careful re-shiming of all of the valves.
Cam Sprockets
Although many of the manufacturers machine slots into the standard sprockets to allow for cam-timing to be modified, some manufacturers don’t. In this instance we can either machine the standard bolt holes on bolt-on sprockets, or offer a replacement push-on unit.
